As a researcher, I wanted a physician who reads and conducts research to care for me when I was treated for breast cancer. Dr Gradishar is that person. Thank you! One more thing, I have friends with complicated cancers who have died due to poor care and going to providers who are not up to date with literature. Dr Gradishar writes the guidelines for care that are evidence based and up to date.
Please please please seek an opinion at a different hospital system and get your treatment elsewhere! Northwestern is no longer the best - if they ever were. I have been waiting 10 weeks post lumpectomy to find out if I need chemo. Dr. Gradishar spends minimal time with you, doesn’t pay attention to critical details and treats checkups as a speedy- gonzales assembly line process. He never pauses to read about complications or prior tests performed. You constantly have to advocate for yourself, to say he’s dismissive is an understatement. Try asking him more than 3 questions and he’ll start grabbing the doorknob to give you a clue your 5 minutes are up. He never called ... read more
