Nice doctor but absolutely awful at filling prescriptions on time. Can only request refills Monday through Thursday, voicemail message says to allow "up to 48 hours" for it to reach the pharmacy. Just this week between myself and the pharmacy there have been 4 calls to request a refill for a single prescription. Should have been filled Wednesday at the latest after the first request was made on Monday. No response until Thursday and was told "within 24 hours ". Dr Hernz, the fact that you won’t even answer therapist back or give me any directions on how to wean off my meds after dumping me as a client after 5 years is scary unprofessional. Is your assistant deleting voicemails and emails before they get to you because this doesn’t seem like you?
Dr. Hernz genuinely cares for his patients. I've been seeing him for decades. He knows me very well, and he strives to ensure I'm on the right medicine. He's gone so far as to help me seek inpatient care. He's taken urgent calls from me and continually puts me on the correct path. I'd be lost without him. Ariel, his Assistant, is an absolute pleasure to deal with. She's efficient and always on task.
Dr. Hernz has supported me through some of the most challenging chapters. His approach is grounded in compassion and precision; he takes the time to truly listen. I’ve always felt safe, respected, and seen in his care. One of the things I appreciate most is his thoughtful use of tools (saliva-based pharmacogenomic testing) to inform medication decisions.
