This a late review, but better late than never. My experience with Dr. Brown's office went quite well. Office manager Belinda was very helpful and pleasant! I do believe in giving credit, when credit is due. I spent a lot of time researching the procedure and different surgeons, before deciding on Dr. Brown. I'm glad I did, he was very thorough and professional at the office visits and at the surgery center visit 12-3-21. Except for some initial bruising and light pain the first few days (to be expected), after that I healed... read more
I decided to drive down to Fremont (2 hours away) to have Dr Brown examine my inguinal hernia after exploring his website. I was further impressed and decided to have him perform surgical repair. I had never undergone an operation of that magnitude before. The procedure took placed at Precision Surgicenter and the entire staff was very comforting. I was on my way home a few hours later with photos of the repair. There was very little pain, my wound healed up nicely and I was back skiing and mt biking in a week. Over a year l... read more
3 years post surgery and EXTREMELY happy that I sought out Dr. William Brown to fix my hernia. He's quaint, humble, experienced, empathetic, cheerful and brilliant. I am 100% pleased with the results of his knowledge and skillful hands -- and with how he respected and treated me through the process. The guy really cares, and it shows. A doctor's "front office" staff can be telling of the character of a physician. His office staff are friendly, efficient, helpful, A+. A hernia is no picnic. Surgery is stressful. My daughter tore a ligament in her leg that required a considerable surgery that involved a great deal of pain. Dr. Brown went to exceptional lengths to reduce her pain including making a house visit! I can’t think of another physician in my life that demonstrated such compassion and skill.
A gentle compassionate and extraordinary surgeon. With only a handful of these specialists practicing the “gold standard” in the country, Dr. Brown was a prayer answered. I flew from North Carolina to San Francisco September ‘20, adamant that I would not submit to a mesh repair of my inguinal hernia. I am so very grateful of his skill and genuine care. Never have I experienced such attention... calling me every day post op to check in with my condition. Simply the best decision I have ever made. His skill and bedside manner ... read more
Dr Brown is an extremely skilled hernia surgeon. His explanations were comprehensive, makes himself available and checks in personally on how your doing after surgery, and has a warm beside manner even cracking a joke here and there. I am excited to be pain free and back to full activity!
Dr. Brown is one of the few doctors in the USA who does non-mesh hernia repairs, which is far less prone to permanent pain than mesh repairs. I am a 76 year old man that had bi-lateral inguinal hernias as big as grapefruits on both sides. On first visit, he answered all questions thoroughly. He did the surgery 9 days later in an excellent out-patient surgery center. Two days after the surgery, I was back to my normal routine around the house. Dr. Brown is a prize, the best ever in my long life.
I rarely write reviews, but when someone is truly extraordinary, I'll make the effort. I had the best doctor visit in my life. I'm 51 so I've had my share of doctor visits. I called this morning and the receptionist was friendly and squeezed the same day. I was seen within a minute or two after I filled out the paperwork. Dr. Brown was humble, pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. The first two adjectives are typically used to describe surgeons. He's diagnosed my injury (sports hernia) to one of
Dr. Brown is the best adductor specialist I have found. Gave me a new life! I owe Dr. for allowing me to run pain free again after adductor surgery.
