Hands down, the best OBGYN I have ever had. I am 4 days post op from a total hysterectomy and he explained everything to me and my husband in a way we understood. Answered all of my crazy questions and requests. His bedside manner is outstanding and is there for you and listens and not rushed wanting you in and out. He does take the time to explain things throughly and is also responsive in MyChart messages.
I love Dr. Alter. I've gone to him for over a decade. If he moves out of state I think I will just fly to see him once a year. It's not always easy to find a doctor who listens to you and provides the type of care he does. I've recommended him to multiple friends and family members. He is such a kind man and has never one time played the "I'm a doctor, I obviously know more about you than you do" card. I feel so at peace and respected every single time I am under his care. Dr Alter is hands down the best doctor that I have had, and I honestly feel like he saved my life. I went to multiple doctors that dismissed me because I was young and fairly healthy but he actually listened to me and my needs and what I wanted. He did my surgery & I have never felt better!
Dr. Alter is one of my all time favorite doctors. He always treats me with kindness, gentleness and respect. He listens and explains things in detail.
