He wasn't my principal cardiologist, he wasn't my electrophysiologist after a defibrillator implant, he wasn't even on the transplant team when I received a heart in 2013. He was there in 2004 when the journey started; when I was too stubborn to accept an implant to ward off VTACHs to come.
