Thought Id give this workshop a try instead of my usual one. Came in to confirm a quote and got served by a clown named Jim. He had an extremely bad attitude and even told me to do the job myself after I queried some of his statements. The guy even tried to tell me my valve clearances were out based on the noise my injectors were making (which wasnt the issue I came in for). Ian is AWESOME! He is honestly the best, trustworthy and very knowledgeable given 40+ years of experience in car service and repairing. My car - Renault broke down and wouldn't start at all that time. Called Ian to ask if he is available for car service, that time his diary was booked for the week. However knowing that I need to have my car towed there, he managed to fit in into his diary on that day and worked on it on that very day! Ian is the best! We have been taking our old Mazda to Ian for servicing for a number of years. He is always honest, reliable and very reasonable. Recently, our engine mount collapsed, causing the transmission to drop, damaging the CV joint. I called Ian in the morning and he anticipated my needs - arranging for a tow truck to pick the car from our home and deliver it to his workshop, which allowed me to go to work (via public transport) without having to worry about the car. That kind of service is hard to come by!
