In March of 2016 I had to have an emergency surgery. I was terrified of having the surgery because we had no way to pay for it. The hospital staff assured me there were programs that would help me that I could apply for, and being that the surgery was absolutely necessary, I had no other option. Thankfully, the hospital approved me for Charity Care assistance due to our financial situation and I was given the impression that it covered the entirety of the surgery.
