We called with an orphaned bat who needed help in their area and they informed us that they euthanize all bats that come in, regardless of human contact. Even the CDC and the Texas Department of Health don't recommend killing every bat that is found in trouble. This is a despicable practice. Instead, they should simply turn the bat away so the finder can work with an actual rescuer. Killing wildlife for no reason, especially one that is critical to our environment, is both dumbfounding and shameful.
I appreciate that they were open on Labor Day to take in an injured raccoon for us that was hit by a car that meant the world to us !!
Such a wonderful place to volunteer or take an injured wildlife critter.....donate to them if you can
Brought in 10-day old baby possum yesterday. Thank you so much, for all you do... staff was friendly, knowledgeable & caring!😁
Found a baby possum too young to care for itself in a park with little protection from the dogs people allow to run loose without leashes. Took the baby in this morning. Said he may have neurological issues and definitely has something wrong with its eye. They are allowing one person in the building at a time. Plenty of space for distancing outside in this COVID time of concern. Quick and easy process. And the baby will get treatment with plans for a release. Glad to have a place where knowledgeable and kind people are avail... read more
If you happen to come across injured wildlife, take comfort that this place will accept the animal with no questions. They're doing a great thing here❤🙏
I was pleased to find this place because we had 3 baby birds that needed to be rescued. our children were sad about the birds not having their mom and they were worried the birds would die. This place was clean and the intake person was helpful.
We brought in a orphaned baby rabbit. I was super impressed it was open on Good Friday and with all the lockdown going on. Really kind people that helped us out. A great experience
They're quick response to injured animals. Thank you for taking care of Wrangler the baby eagle!
