I had three sessions with Dr. Helm. I don’t know if it was poor note taking or lack of interest. I felt like he treated me like I had never seen him before.
He seemed to disagree with my two previous psychiatrists re: my ADHD diagnosis, which is fine. That said, I didn’t get any clear answers from our visit. He seems to have a very narrow view of ADHD - because I’m “high achieving” and can sometimes force myself into action, he wouldn’t consider it at all. During my first visit with Dr. Helm, I felt like he was very attentive and was genuinely concerned about my mental health. I have a severe case of Adult ADHD which has negatively affected both my professional life as well as my personal life. I was very nervous about this appointment. Dr. Helm really understood this and by the end I was much more comfortable. He really listened, read my notes for him and took the time to explain different conditions and how different medicines work for some and not for others. I am pleased that I will be working with him, but mostly that he truly cares about my health and he asked and answered many questions. I did not feel rushed at all.
Courteous staff, friendly environment. Dr. Lewis is a caring and knowledgeable professional. She takes the time needed to explain details so the patient can understand. She takes excellent care of my family.
Nothing negative about him that I read in the reviews. Extremely professional and even has a funny sense of humor. Seen my concern for a very high PSA, scheduled me in immediately for a biopsy without having to wait a month or more. Went above and beyond for me and you’re not gonna get that from many doctors. Davenport prescribed me Solifenacin for overactive bladder. He didn’t tell me that it may make me have problems with my stomach. After a while I started waking about 5:30 every night with terrible stomach discomfort. I went to my family Doctor and he put me on drug at night but it just didn’t work. He sent me to a gastroenterologist Dr Szych and he told me when he saw my medication list to quit taking the Solifenacin because it was causing my problem. Dr. Guidi helped my wife recently at the Jackson Clinic Convenient Care location. He is incisive, aware and extremely knowledgeable. His assessment was based on listening to my wife’s concerns and he addressed all of them. This physician knows what he’s doing and gets to the heart of the matter without delay. His approach is excellent and his demeanor puts the concerns of the patient at ease from the moment he walks into the exam room until the patient leaves.
