My kids and I joined the Blackwater River Paddle with WiSE on a visit to Savannah. We've paddled before, but this was a different environment for us. We all agreed that this was probably one of the best activities we did in (near) Savannah. We had a small group, accompanied by Lisa and Garret. They provided interesting information about the wildlife, area history, and even a few local restaurant recommendations. Wow! We did the Wild Island Exploration with Garret & Cpt. Kiernan. We made great use of the time (4 hours). We learned so much about the ecosystem, things we didn’t know about Georgia, and had a great hike. We saw dolphins and various kinds of seabirds. The boat ride was fun and beautiful. Felt very safe. Wear comfy water shoes, sunscreen, and bug spray. Drinks lots of water and bring snacks to stay energized. 10 out of 10 recommend. Worth every penny.
Did the salt marsh and it was great! Very informative, recommend to any groups.
