found our way to Wilderness at the Smokies through a last minute booking situation and ended up having a wonderful day. the indoor water park is exceptional and has one of the best water slides i’ve ever been on, my boyfriend and i both loved it. room was clean and the bed was comfortable. no bed bugs for us (i’m very allergic so i would know, trust me) unlike some other reviews i’ve seen— we stayed on the third floor in room 49, so either that situation has been handled since or the third floor doesn’t have them. we didn’t ... read more
The sink is very small and the basin outside the bathroom is very small; it took me 50 minutes standing just to check in. Not recommended
If you are attending an event at the adjoining conference center the location is very convenient, but you will be swamped by the traffic. But as other reviews have stated, the mattresses are supremely firm and the check in process takes a long time. We were charged a $35 per night resort fee, even though all pools were drained for the season ( September, 95 degrees?). There are better options nearby.
