We are here now and the resort is completely unprepared for spring break volume. Trash cans are over flowing, multiple employees commenting “sorry I’m the only one here right now.” I knew it was bad when the valet was completely backed up and the trashcan outside overflowing when we pulled up. No one was available to help with bags which would be fine except you pay $35 a night to valet. Loved it here, the quality was great honestly. I didn't like was paying a resort fee and then having to pay to use the amenities of the resort and maybe that's just my lack of familiarity with resorts- but that just seemed kind of silly. It really did feel like an oasis here just because everything you needed was conveniently located
Good resort, but quite overpriced. The interior is nice and feels like a small private town, with everything you need: restaurants, bars, pools, and more. However, there isn’t much of interest within walking distance outside the resort, aside from expensive houses. Keep in mind that it can take a long time to get an Uber or Lyft to go out. A ride to downtown Charleston can cost $60–$70 and may take a 30–40 minute wait, so it’s best to book in advance. Cool resort with lots of activities in walking distance. Gym has lots of equipment (treadmills, bikes, TRX, free weights). Coffee is available in lobby. Short walk to the beach with exceptional ocean views. Recommend splurging on a massage at the Spa, I got 2 and both probably were best massages I’ve ever gotten. Overall great place for some R&R.
