I made the reservation at Wild Common without knowing it held a Michelin star. By the end of the evening, I completely understood why. The entrance sets an interesting tone, from outside it looks small, but you walk down a long corridor toward the back of the building, which somehow adds to the sense of arrival rather than detracting from it. Overall, a stellar experience. The entryway was grand and gorgeous. The dining room and bar were well-appointed but cozy. Service was very professional but also warm and welcoming. VERY knowledgeable about every aspect of every dish and our sommelier was one of the best and most personable I have ever met. We visited Wild Common when on vacation and it was pretty good. Service was what I would expect at a Michelin starred restaurant. I have some mixed feelings regarding some food items. The flavor of the steamboat oyster was overpowered by the dressing. The tuna tartare was underwhelming flavor wise and the rice pillow below it was way too thick and crisp that it literally hurt my palate and ruined the rest of the meal for me. The experience was unique and special. Our server Emma was very attentive and the somellier was so knowledgeable and had amazing information about where the wine came from and fun tidbits about the winemakers. The black garlic sauce was unlike anything I had before and we were sent home with little corn cakes that extended the wonderful night into a wonderful morning when I ate mine :) Thank you to all involved
The best meal and service we have ever experienced. We went for our anniversary and they took exception ally good care of us.
