A wonderful setting with superb food and excellent service. We enjoyed a fantastic meal with thoughtful wine pairings from a sparkly Chenin Blanc Bubulle, a French Burgundy and ending with a Madeira paired with the exceptional chocolate terrine, aka chocolate cake with blood orange mousse. Having enjoyed a catered dinner at Cannon Green, we were excited to try a meal at the related restaurant, Wild Common. I am always a bit hesitant for this type of fixed tasting menu, but in this case, my concerns were unfounded. Each course was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The restaurant was able to adjust slightly for dietary restrictions of one of our group, and we also appreciated an option to pair non-alcoholic drink options for that diner while the restaurant was of us chose wine pairings.

Dined here yesterday with my wife and had a very mediocre dinner, perhaps one of the worst fine dining experiences we’ve had. The good: the wine list is very well curated, with a broad selection across both regions and price points; the Korean fried chicken, taco, and fig pudding were the highlights of the dinner - but unfortunately the first two were small bites rather than one of the main dishes. The simplest ingredients from scratch, attention to the smallest details and a perfect service. Thank you so much Wild Common for a lovely dinner. Drinking but skipping alcohol? Ask for the zero proof Blanc de Blancs from Oddbird’s it’s a fantastic match with nearly every dish or take the zero proof cocktail pairing if you want to follow the rhythm of the tasting menu. Don’t be timid in a world traditionally dominated by alcohol and enjoy dinner how you want to, Wild Common is suited for everyone’s drinking style.
