We are happily living in a fine Wilco home, beautifully designed specifically for a property on Salt Spring Island. It wasn't custom built for us, but we purchased directly from some of the owners of Wilco Construction. The transfer was thoughtfully managed: we had a personal orientation; there is great documentation; and Wilco organized some trades the day we moved in (a wiring change we requested plus they changed out a whole section of countertop at their insistence for an imperceptible flaw).
