I don't even want to give one star, four years later I have multiple issues from her puncturing my bowel during a routine colonoscopy. She told me it all looked good, 5 polyps removed on my bowel, one in my stomach. I should see her again in three years. I was in emergency three weeks later and have been in hospital now for a total of 6 months/3 separate times for bowl puncture related health problems. Still waiting to get 5 hernias repaired! I would like to say thank you to Dr Wijay and her staff for taking such good care of me. She just did my lumpectomy and it couldn't have gone better. Dr Wijay got me in quickly, was very thorough and kind. She is a very hard worker and cares for her patients. I am healing nicely. She is a highly skilled surgeon. We are fortunate to have her here in Port Alberni.
Can’t say enough positive things about Dr Wijay and her staff. Professional and compassionate care. Glad to have her expertise.
I cannot get over how wrong so many of the reviews have been about Doctor Wijay. She has been kind, caring and a compassionate professional with me. She’s a busy surgeon but if she takes you on as a patient of hers she will take care of you. If you want to be “coddled” go somewhere else, if you want a professional surgeon, you’ve found one. I will say though that initially I was taken aback because I thought she was rude, she really isn’t, she’s highly intelligent and quite brilliant.
Receptionist is lacking communication skills, had me change my in-person appointment to a virtual appointment just to be told that I wasn't allowed to make it to my virtual appointment and then wait 3 weeks just to come in just to be told that I could die on the operating table meanwhile I'm almost dying already(could've told me that over the phone, just help me already doc!!)
