No help and lie to your face
I didn’t have much hope after reading the reviews for Wigan CAMHS, but I want to share a more positive experience to give others hope. After my 9-year-old son began experiencing excessive panic attacks and palpitations, our GP advised us to go to A&E. But my son is a germophobe, and after waiting four hours in Bolton A&E, we were told it would be another five hours just to be seen by CAMHS. For his mental well-being, we had to leave. Please do not send your kids here. They don’t pick up the phone, leave you sat in the waiting room for an hour just to say your appointment was cancelled. Give you empty promises (regarding contacting schools/colleges). LIE TO YOU, was told that the women I was seeing left the department and found out from a friend that they where now seeing her (we where both in CBT) Was with them for 2 years, supposed to have 2 appointments every month but they cancelled so often or just left me sat there to the point where I was seeing th... read more
