We purchased an Avan as a repairable write off after it had sustained damage to the roof corners. The aluminium was torn and deformed on one roof and a big caravan repair place in Geelong quoted over $12K to simply replace both roofs, vastly over quoted to get it written off. He told us he would have our old van renovated in 12 weeks max. He had it for almost 12 MONTHS and went thousands of dollars over budget. He provided no list of work done or costs. We went down to pick up our van nearly 3 hours away and he hadn’t finished. We went down 2 days later to pick it up and he wouldn’t meet us there or talk to us. Update: We are now facing considerable expense to replace parts and for labour to fix the damage this man caused. BEWARE - this person is careless with expensive vehicles and then 'ghosts' you after you discover the damage he has caused. We are in the process of reporting him to Consumer Affairs.
