Incredibly rude receptionist. I was in the middle of talking and she cut me off — not once, but repeatedly — while I was trying to explain my concern. A receptionist should take the time to listen to a patient instead of constantly interrupting. Cutting in halfway through makes it feel dismissive and disrespectful. Dr Kuyler is truly the most validating specialist I have ever met. I was referred to him for my migraines after a lifetime of being told to drink more water, take magnesium, push through etc and he listened to me, and said ‘this level of pain and frequency of pain is entirely unacceptable’. I got a bit teary, it was amazing to have someone actually understand. He takes the time to explain everything and work through my thoughts and feelings about different treatment options. Seems nice but is not. Does not acknowledge secondary forms of dystonia. Offered a terrible referral to another specialist where he trivialised my symptoms and put them down to anxiety when I have a complex neurological disorder that he avoided saying he didn't know about. Writes letters to my GP trying to convince them I don't have the conditions I have which have been previously diagnosed.
