Took my VW to Wide 5 Customs for an engine rebuild. These guys are the real deal. Legit vintage VW specialists, not just a shop that'll "figure it out." Work was clean, thorough, and they clearly love what they do. If you're anywhere near Easley or Greenville and you've got a classic VW that needs attention, don't waste your time anywhere else.
My search is over! Long story short, I struggled to find a mechanic to work on a new 2110 engine I had purchased and had built somewhere else. Unfortunately, it was still I need of A LOT of work.
