Rude staff. Old equipment, little amenities compared to other CAC gyms. I was recently scolded by a manager for singing at conversation level for about 25 seconds. This while people are throwing weights around, yoga teachers are yelling across the room at everyone they know (Laura) and people are grunting and screaming like they're lifting cars off the ground. Heaven forbid that I actually enjoy a workout for once.
Really small. Could use a new building that has the same amenities as Lincoln Park, Lakeview, West Loop locations. (Pool, sauna, steam room, more equipment, etc)
The smith machines doesn’t go low enough to hip trust… Kinda the worst thing ever. There is a hip trust machine but its clearly made for taller people/men. There are 6 squat racks which would be great but theres not enough benches so you cant hip trust there either. Classes are nice, lots of cables which is great. For the price, this gym is over crowded and the lack of usable smith machines piss me off.
Great gym, nice staff, lots of towels, and cleaning supplies. It’s never too crowded and you can always get a machine. They also have locks built into the lockers so you do not need to carry around a lock.
