I tried to bring my younger brother as my free guest pass, they said he needed an ID, which he doesn’t have then tried telling us since he is underage he can’t come in. Never during my signing up or anything did they ever tell me this. Other gyms allow this and I am very disappointed to have spent my money and to me here.
Basic gym but very manipulative sales and billing. I had cancelled my account last year in person and they stopped it until they started randomly rebilling me a year afterwards because they 'forgot to email the confirmation' and so I was charged $84 for months and never got anything back.
Rude staff. Old equipment, little amenities compared to other CAC gyms. I was recently scolded by a manager for singing at conversation level for about 25 seconds. This while people are throwing weights around, yoga teachers are yelling across the room at everyone they know (Laura) and people are grunting and screaming like they're lifting cars off the ground. Heaven forbid that I actually enjoy a workout for once.
Really small. Could use a new building that has the same amenities as Lincoln Park, Lakeview, West Loop locations. (Pool, sauna, steam room, more equipment, etc)
