A month ago, I had to make a tough decision to let my baby boy go to sleep. My usual vet, with whom I am no longer associated, refused to stay open. Thankfully, the Wiarton vet stayed open for us, helped him cross the rainbow bridge peacefully, and ensured my baby boy didn't suffer. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they did for us.

While on vacation our lovely 12 yr old Goldendoodle suddenly became unable to stand up the morning of July23rd 2025, we did a google search of vet services in the area and found Wiarton Animal Hospital. 100% thankful that we found this clinic. It's hard to find quality providers that are honest and fair-priced; and then add on a welcoming and professional team. Nearly impossible. We were passing through on vacation from the States, and our puppy had a scary, sizable growth on her skull that needed evaluation. Dr. Richard and his staff got us in same day, diagnosed the issue, and provided the right treatment strategy to help resolve the issue and allow our puppy and family get back to vacation. Poor service. We recently got stitches on our dog that came loose. After sending them pictures of the open wound, they suggested to leave the wound open and put honey or sugar on it. Waste of money and lack of competence.
