We had two rentals right now in October. Kajak was great, no doubts. Mountainbike - was different - for kids nothing really there what they “sold” as 20” - a BMX for gravel trails or even uphill not doable for a 5y old Even the 24” “kids-bike” BMX is not suitable - the adults have a rear derailleur - which is helpful but the kids need it more. Such a lovely setting and our guide, Carleen, was outstanding with information about the region and about some kayaking techniques. We were there amid a drought, so it took some thoughtful paddling and a bit of shuffling, and yet we all made the most of it. Get yourself into these back woods to paddle with WhyNot.
You can just rent your own Kayak/Canoe/SUPs and have a great time exploring the area. But we choose to do a 2 hour tour with a guide, and it was really worth it for us. Dylan was great, he was fun, energetic, and most importantly, informative. We learnt so much, from the history of the First Nations mi'kmaq people, the wildlife, and the geography of the area, which we wouldn't have learnt on our own.
Absolut empfehlenswert!
My girlfriend and I went on an excellent afternoon tour a few weeks ago. Dylan was knowledgeable, told excellent stories, and made us feel comfortable from the first moment. If we ever make it back to Nova Scotia we'd definitely plan to get on a multi-day trip with Whynot, would love to get further into the Kejimkujik!
