We booked the 3 day medway lakes trip as part of our wider trip to NS. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys and we're joined on the trip by another couple. We were on the 4-day trip to the Southern Lakes with Dylan as our guide....and it has been truly amazing! The booking process a few months earlier as been very easy and we were able to provide all the information and process the necessary paperwork beforehand. Tuesday July 22, 2025; I had gone to the outfitters the night before to inquire about pricing. It was not busy and no one at the time said I could reserve. They handed me a price list and that was that. I asked about tandem kayaks and was told they had lots. Arrived at 10am this morning. While in line the staff allowed people from the back of the line to bud infront of two other families. No one was managing the line, nor did they say anything. Showed up around 5:20pm, before I left from my BNB(approximately 30ish minutes before) I checked their website clicked today's date it said 5 available double kayaks. Was declined going out due to it being past 5 and that we wouldnt get our full 2 hours. We said we did not mind and we would not go far ; (the only reason we drove out was to kayak for a bit only an hour) but still declined.
