Effective and relaxing
Please don’t if you are hoping to relax. Perhaps his therapeutic work is good, but I just didn’t feel comfortable. I was considering telling him that I was done a few times during my session. One of those times was when I felt the scalding hot stones being placed gingerly on my back. Unfortunately, the sounds he needs to make to breathe, concerned me on a couple different levels. I wanted a treat, but I left feeling worse than when I got there.
Echoing what other reviewers have said below. Alex is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of people’s time. He cancelled on me same-day so we rescheduled to a different day. I showed up to the office at the time of my appointment and found him asleep in his chair. I woke him up and he said we would need to reschedule again. This was a huge waste of time, gas, and money. Definitely would not recommend.
Not your typical Zen massage experience—so if you’re looking for a peaceful, spa-like atmosphere, this might not be the place. The space is a bit chaotic, and the practitioner is an elderly man who seems to struggle with emphysema, which made the session feel a bit uncomfortable at times. That said, the price is right. One of the best massages I have received. I wasn't sure what to expect because I usually see women. Alex was very professional and informative. I liked that he used stones and didn't charge extra.
