Best Place to get Cat and Dog supplies! The Whole Cat is in a great old shopping district in Denver (South Pearl Street), and they not only have the expected toys and food dishes, they have the best selection of high-end pet food you can find in Denver. The store is owned by two sisters, and they clearly love cats, as well as know more than many vets about cat nutrition. Too Bad, Because It Could Have Been A Great Place To Shop Both times I have called Whole Cat I have been treated rudely. The one time I've been in the store they couldn't have been more helpful. Recently I spent over $230 in the store and special-ordered another $100+ worth of food. I was told the special order would be available in five days. When I called to check on my order before I made the trip to pick it up, I was told by the woman on the phone that it wouldn't be available for another five days, that they never order... read more
Unique options for pet lovers. This is a fabulous place for fun pet treats and toys to a wide selection of food. I buy our dog food here and the staff is always friendly and accomodating. If our dog doesn't like it, they take it back and try to find something that will work for him. It is also a great place for unique gifts for pet lovers!

I just posted a review, but forgot to put the 5 stars. I am very happy to know that The Whole Cat & Dogs, too, is so supportive of shelter animals. They are sponsoring an animal adoption fair at the South Pearl Street on Sunday, Sept. 9, 9 - 1pm. I will be there and shop at Whole Cat from now on. It is a beautiful store and Sue truly cares about animals. Bring your friends, support this wonderful cause.
I've been shopping for my kitties at The Whole Cat for 13 years, I love it. Sue and Nancy are the best, and it's right here in the neighborhood. It's great to be able to support a locally owned business as well.
