I had collapsed at work but after an hour or so drove myself home. Couldn’t get an urgent appointment with my GP so decided to go to the Whitworth Community Hospital which is 5 minutes in my car. Despite the waiting room being packed I was seen for an assessment within 10mins of my arrival by two lovely members of staff. The staff on Oker Ward were absolutely wonderful looking after my mother in law. They made sure her last days were as comfortable, pain and stress free as possible and also looked after my father in law every day when he visited. Thank you all of you. The NHS at its very best.

From the minute i walked on I could tell this was a place where the staff genuinely cared. From the reception staff right through to the clinical staff the service I received was first class. Thank you! This should be a model for all NHS services to emulate. Polite, courteous and competent.

Visited yesterday for a blood test firstly the disabled parking is a joke 2 spaces taken neither cars showing a blue badge so struggled all uphill with a disabled walker,got into reception I asked where phlebotomy was only to be told up those steps bearing in mind receptionist could see I had a walker was then told follow that corridor around you will see Phlebotomy only to find once again the corridors are on an incline so not easy with a walker so all in all not a very pleasurable experience as a disabled patient !!
