Hidden Gem of the Hood. A must-see. Great genetics and care to their plants.
A “Must Stop” for anyone interested in plants and botanical gardens! Tucked in behind the amazing selections of plants/trees/shrubs for sale are paths through botanic gardens featuring a myriad of trees and plants, streams and pools etc, many of them labeled. Lots of blooms on this pretty June day.
What an absolute jewel, beautiful and tranquil spot on the beautiful Hood Canel, definitely worth a look. Wonderful nursery to explore. Whitney Gardens do have a peak bloom of the Rhododendron's, check with them for that information.
Stopped in here while doing some local hikes. They charge $2/pp entry and they have a botanical garden section for viewing. As well they are a proper nursery with items for sale at reasonable prices. We went in for the viewing and walked out with some plants. Staff was great. Good clean bathrooms.
This place is amazing. Extraordinary selection of plants, can spend hours trying to decide what to buy, especially the rhodie and azalea houses. Quality & prices are definitely worth the trip. Owner and staff are wonderful. Resident fur babies are an added treat.
