Last year inspection done at Whitmoyer Ford. They ripped off my 80 year old mother's because she didn't know any better. Why is it dealers always want to get you for new wiper blades. They charged $88. $28 of it for labor. It takes less than 5 minutes to install. Replaced license plate bulb- $5.00 for bulb $25 for labor. Unbelievable. I called them when my mom told me it was going to be $1200.00 for inspection,. I was able to stop them from replacing a cabin air filter for $109.40 (Amazon-$8.99) Disgusting. Did not clean up after work done. Could not figure out steering column noise complaint. Nothing was done. I have provided multiple complaints about radio system locking up / not working at all. Again, could not be duplicated in shop so nothing was done.
Whitmoyer lost a good loyal customer. We ordered a new Ford Ranger Raptor 15 months ago. It finally came in a week ago and they lowballed us on our trade...not just low balled but it was thousands of dollars lower than 5 other local dealers...this was a truck that we bought their 4 years ago. We had to sell it to another local dealer ...even with paying sales tax on the new truck we still saved thousands. We bought 5 vehicles here within the last 5 years and never again! Just relocated to Lancaster area and had not established where to have my C5 Corvette serviced. Corvette broke down in Lititz, called Whitmoyer Chev Service Dept. to confirm it was OK to have towed there. Girl I talked to could not have been more pleasant and confirmed they would be happy to take a look at it and if it arrived after they closed at 7, drop keys and call next morning.
