Marilyn is an amazing listener and nurse. She has made my parents feel so comfortable in being able to ask questions about their current situation. When dad was diagnosed with cancer, we knew we were in for a struggle, but Whitley Patient Advocates made things a lot easier. It was a relief to know that they were there to answer our questions, help us better understand the treatments and medications, what we should be talking and asking the doctors about, and helping us through each stage of dads cancer. With their assistance we were able to focus more on the time we had left with dad, then what was happening to him.
My association with Marilyn Whitley began when my wife had need of both memory care and skilled nursing. Through her diligence and extensive knowledge, she found an excellent facility for us. Marilyn has, and still is, helping with her knowledge and empathy as we move forward. She lifted a heavy weight from us at the moment it was needed.
I have worked with Whitley Patient Advocates in Hospice Care for several patients and their families. They are very caring and truly are advocates when families don't know how to get care and services they are entitled too. Many people don't get what they are entitled to and don't know how to start the process. A very professional and great team.
Loving and professional which is hard to find when looking for someone to trust with your loved ones. So fortunate to have them in our area.
