I found a very small kitten (15 oz) and he was having some issues. Brought him here because not many places are open on Sunday. I get there and after the "vet" checks her out, he comes out and tells me that "she has an upper respiratory infection" and asked what I want to do? ( I had been crying and you could tell) he says "you sure, there's lots of kitten out there that are healthy" Seriously?? I agreed to spend $150 just for this pampas ass to look at him. The vet Christopher Gall, D.V.M. that examined my cats didn't seem like he cared enough to take time and help my animals. I had to pay close to $300 but he really didn't help with their issues, one being a tumor and lethargy and one having a terrible upper respiratory issue. Basically took the money and sent us home. I don't believe this man cares much about people's pets. I would go elsewhere or at least ask for another doctor other than Dr. Gall.
RecommendedIf anyone in the Whitemarsh/Wilmington Island area is in need of a vet I highly recommend Whitmarsh Animal Care. They are open 24/7 for urgent care We lost our cat, our big boy Klaus last night. They were so very compassionate and caring. Dr. Boyette came out and took about 15 minutes to explain everything to us with so much feeling. Its hard to deal with and sure helps when you feel like they really care. I saw him do the same with 2 other families as we waited.
I brought my cat Nick there last week hoping they could perform an amputation on his leg with a cancerous tumor. Because of his complex situation, they recommended we have the procedure performed by a specialist instead. Even though his surgery wasn't done there, I left my visit feeling like they had our best interests in mind and was overwhelmed by their kindness. A very sweet tech asked me to keep them updated - his surgery was successfully performed yesterday and he is doing well!
Tried to receive emergency care, and was told they were in the process of moving. Should not offer emergency care if unavailable

I had to visit the downtown Savannah location for an after hours emergency and had the best experience with Dr. Todd and the techs on staff. Shortly after, my dog needed a mass removal and I went to the Whitemarsh location for a second opinion. I was delighted to see that Dr. Todd was the veterinarian on site. He thoroughly explains everything and makes sure you are comfortable with any decisions. Chelsea was also super helpful and great! Took my 3 year old pitbull mix Molly to see Dr. McBroom today because she was having allergy and anxiety issues. Dr. McBroom made my very nervous dog feel comfortable, Marisa, the vet tech did an awesome job on her blood draw, Molly didn't even flinch! I was extremely happy with how loving they were and understanding of my concern, I am very picky about the care my dog receives, and after today's experience I couldn't be happier!

Just wanted to say how very pleased I am with the 2 new veterinarians at Whitemarsh Animal Care / Savannah Animal Care / Tybee Animal Care!! Still love Dr. Jenkins, of course, but my last 2 visits with some of my babies, we were seen by Dr. Franklin & Dr. Karee McBroom. Both are very knowledgeable, energetic & caring, handling my very sick street kitties with such tender loving care! One of my kitties seemed to want to stay! And of course, as always, the rest of the staff are awesome too! :)
