The Whiteface Club in Lake Placid has truly become one of the standout vacation destinations in the Adirondacks. This is golf course only review. The golf course is very, very good - definitely the best in Lake Placid. Unlike the other courses in the area, WF is well-irrigated and lush whereas most other courses rely on rainfall for the fairways and only water their greens and tees. The WF course isn't particularly long, but a lot of it is target golf. Lot's of doglegs. The traps aren't great, but that seems to be the case across the Lake Placid region. Golf course in excellent condition from tee to green. Narrow and short course. Lots of trees. Many short par 4s...you can mostly leave your driver in the bag. Enjoyed the course. Probably best golf in the area. Restaurant was top notch also. Would definitely return.
