I recently went on a sleepy hollow tour in New York. I was so looking forward to it. First of all the bathroom on our bus was not working properly. And the bus smelled of sewage. Our trip was so rushed. It got rearrange our first day there. The tour we were suppose to have at the cemetery was shorter than what was stated in the paperwork. We were rushed off the bus then had to rush to get back on, only allowed 20 minutes in a sovereign shop. My husband and I recently returned from a 10 day, 9 night bus trip to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. It took 3 days to get to and from our destination. It would have been nice to have at least 1 sightseeing tour each day rather than riding for 8-12 hours with only stops for bathroom breaks and lunch. They could have scheduled our free time allowed on the tours for time to eat and shop rather than have to choose one or the other.The final 2 nights in hotels were horrible, filthy and unsanitary. 1 night was excellent the... read more

This was our first time on a tour like this and it will be our last. The bus was about as comfortable as an airplane seat and with four of the eight days spent on the road this was not good. All of the motels were adequate except for the last one. We came in late at night to a Days Inn which qualifies as a ROACH MOTEL. I killed nine roaches as soon as we walked in the room and found more the next morning. We were trapped because of the location and spent an absolutely miserable night.

This tour company should rate negative ten stars! Do not take a White Star tour!!! We went on a tour booked by Morris town Senior Center and had expectations for a quality tour. We spent most of the time on the bus, as the tour stops and times were not well planned and choose the least quality cheapest motels and eateries. Food stops couldn't accommodate us or were closed. We took a group tour designed by White Star Tours to Ocean City, Maryland in September 2021. White Star “cheaped out” throughout most of the trip. We stayed at a hotel 4 miles from the center of town, the beaches, and the boardwalk even though hotels near the boardwalk were no more expensive than the one we stayed in. White Star advertised eating at the famous Phillips Crab house but after we signed up, the restaurant was changed to the Bonfire. White Star does not care about their travelers. Took a trip to MT. Rushmore from Michigan and was a very bad trip. Person in charge did not know what she was doing and boring bus ride, no moves or games. Called White Star when I got home and they said it is up to her because she is not employed with them. DO NO USE WHITE STAR
