Marcy M here. Re Green & white chair rentals : I had chair and umbrella service included with my rental at Sterling Sands, thankfully I didn’t have to pay. The younger workers were much more kind but the older guys were not very accommodating including the tanned guy with the long black curly ponytail, bandana and glasses (Mr ponytail). Firsthand they close too early. People are still thriving on the beach at 5pm. Augie’s attitude left a lot to be desired! It appeared that he was the supervisor as I watched him collect the cash and credit card payments for chair and umbrella rentals. He was extremely rude to the gentleman ahead of me and called him out because he only had enough cash on him for the rental; not a tip. During my exchange with him I asked about placement as there are three rows. He told me to get over it…it’s all the beach. Guys act like they own the beach. I can setup my own umbrella and chairs with no issues. The owners of Sterling Sands should consider any other company in the world to do business with. They take up the chairs and umbrellas too early in the evening. They rip you off, have no customer service mentality, and expect a tip.

Please do yourself a favor and go with Vacayzen! They have higher reviews for a reason. I wish we would’ve look at the reviews before booking. Long story short, we rented beach chairs and umbrellas for 3 days. It rained 2 out of the 3 days. We were able to go to the beach for a few hours the second day, so we got some use out of the chairs and umbrellas that day. However, on the 3rd day, it rained the ENTIRE day. My family and I rented chairs and umbrellas from this company for our trip to Destin. Having a large family, we thought it would be better to rent chairs and umbrellas for the three days we would be at the beach. Sadly it rained most of day 2 and all of day of the third day. We called to inquire midway through the third day to ask about a refund.
