Always a great time. Got to be the first three down the river at Rusty Oar for 2026. Rain and all. Definitely worth a try.
This was a great activity which I would recommend everyone to try. I met some great people at the beginning, during the trip and at the end. It's good exercise with fresh air and cool water. What more could you ask for. Yes bring a cooler if you want. Lol
Did the short trip Saturday and was first time there. We had a nice time on the river, lots of wildlife and the water was surprisingly clear in most areas of the river. Some definite low spots but it’s been dry for some time. Trio up to the drop off was fine, driver was friendly and the bus was fine. Only complaint was at the end of long trip we were expected to bring the gear up from the bank. The employees were young men, they should be able to handle this task. Have been here 10 times to canoe. It is slightly annoying that of you do anything past 6 mile you gotta carry boat a bit but thats not really in their hands cause of the dam.
It was a great time and experience and I plan to go again and tell more ppl.
