Jada, Elaine and Sharnece at the White Plains Hospital Cancer Center have been truly exceptional in caring for our mom. Absolutely a disgrace! My mother’s appointment was at 10:30am, while it doesn’t matter but we came 20 minutes earlier to be prepared and wait in the seating area. 50 minutes passes from our appointment time and no word on our appointment, when asking the receptionist I was meet with a smug attitude. How is it even acceptable for an appointment to run over almost an hour over from when it is scheduled. I’ve been coming to this cancer center for treatment during one of the most difficult times of my life. I sometimes have to bring my young child with me because I have no other option. I always do my best to communicate this ahead of time, and security even allowed us in with his small bike without issue. Despite this, one nurse chose to speak about me loudly and harshly in front of other patients, criticizing me just for having my child with me. I received care there in 2020 and currently my family member is receiving care. The care we have recieved to date is exceptional. Everyone we have met are professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. Leslie at the front desk always has a smile and makes you feel welcome. She exudes friendliness. She should be on posters for WPH.
