My mother is a resident at the home. The staff is wonderful - cheerful, attentive and provide consistently good care. The home has regular activities and religious services. The facility itself is clean. My mother, who refers to the staff as members of her "new family", loves the place (she has a sunny disposition), complements the food (which I think is pretty average) and care (which I think is exceptional). I'm not sure what the people giving White Oaks a bad review are looking for. Nursing homes are not cheery places. White Oaks provides consistently good care for residents that are limited in mobility and need constant attention, assistance with their meds, etc. They keep the family informed of any changes in their loved ones meds, conditions, etc. The financial office manager, Sharon, is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful in guiding you through the admittance process and, if needed, the Medicaid process. Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit? No, I left with more problems than I came with! Is this provider willing to pursue advice from other providers when necessary? No, and they didn't want me to seek anyone else's opinion

My overall experience with this nursing home was just ok. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to recommend them to anyone. They barely ever answer any of my questions over the phone, and I've had to make way too many appointments. Sometimes, I have to persuade them that I have an important concern that needs their attention. There have been times that they've paid attention to my concerns, but not many. I wish there were more choices for my loved one.
