My wife and I were recently on vacation for my daughter’s birthday in Helen GA when I took an unexpected tumble down the stairs at our cabin. I broke my ankle, like dangling off my leg broke, and was in excruciating pain. My wife called 911 and I would say they arrived quickly given the obscurity of our location. When needing emergency medical help and transportation to the hospital and the hour that they had to wait with me in hallway full of other patients and paramedics, the male and female team that took care of me from the time they picked me up until they were got me in the hands of other medical personnel, showed and treated me with the upmost kindness,courtesy, compassion and professionalism even when I myself, from my own stress and pain, probably made their job more difficult than it should have been. I had to go to the hospital 10 times in the past 18 months. White County paramedics and ambulance drivers were always polite and knew what they were doing. They were all so nice. Once I panicked on one of the rides and they explained what was going on. Calmed me immediately. Thank you to all the men and women that took care of me. White County Ambulance service.
