We went for a special animal exhibit and enjoyed it very much. We also watched and played around with some of the science items. Whitaker's Science Center is very much for kids and some of the hands on exhibits show it. They are very worn. They are still interesting and the kids seemed to be enjoying them but they are very used. Whitaker also has a performance center and IMAX movie theater. For the price it's worth taking the kids to the Science Center. The IMAX movies can be cool, too. The staff there are exceptionally nice... read more
"Visiting from the New Jersey side at Liberty State Park is a total game-changer! The crowds are much thinner than Battery Park, and the security lines for the ferry move significantly faster. The views of the Manhattan skyline during the boat ride are breathtaking. Even if you don't take the ferry to Liberty Island, the waterfront promenade offers a perfect, unobstructed view of Lady Liberty for photos. Highly recommend checking out the 'Empty Sky' Memorial nearby while you're there. Plenty of parking and much less stress!"
