Walked in after dinner and a young girl was mopping the floor (2+ hrs before close mind you). She looked at me and looked back at her mop and said not a word. She then walks over and stands in front of the register staring at me. Awkwardly, I just start ordering since she still hasn’t said anything. I asked for a banana split and she said “we don’t have strawberries”. Probably the worst service I have ever received at Whits. I’ll continue to the one in Independence.
I got hooked on the Whit's Chocolate Buckeye Madness from living close to the Whit's, in Independence, KY. In recent months it has been practical to stop at the Highland Heights store about three times so far. With each visit, I always have had a good customer experience.
We absolutely LOVE Whit’s, like will drive 30 minutes to get it, but this location is awful. Never open when their hours say they will be. When staffed, it’s hit or miss if the person knows what they’re doing (to be fair it’s typically someone covering both this and Donato’s counters). There are locations that are in Lebanon and Trenton that are way better.
One star is not fair. Went there tonight, June 4, 2025, wanted to buy an ALREADY MADE ice cream sandwich in their little cooler. Noone there to sell it, so i asked the connected Donatos to help me, "we cant". It was 630pm on a wednesday in the summer!! What a JOKE. a new ice cream place is opening near Kroger by Great Clips on Martha Layne Dr. Go there, they WANT your money and business.
