It’s no Home Depot. And it’s not even a Loews/Rona. And that’s a great thing. There’s nothing like a Home Hardware. I’m was sad to see the Squamish one close a few years ago but anytime I’m in the hood and need something, I’ll swing by Function Junction and stop by - even making an excuse to just browse. The staff is super helpful and the shopping experience is a true Canadian one. Shop local, shop Canadian.
The perfect hardware store!
The home and hardware store in Whistler is unique in a way that they have a lot of items for homes that you may not find anywhere else. From bar stool to cute cushions that feels like a bear, these little items reminds me of the mountain and will definitely make my home look and feel cozy. They sell paint in the store and has samples for you to try them out. I was surprised that they have big furniture like desks, table, end of the bed bench, sofas and lamps. Very cramped little store. Not too appealing to look at. But the staff was friendly and they had lots of stuff. We went over to Rona which was ridiculously tiny and had nothing we needed so I guess Home hardware is the place to shop. We ended up getting what we needed at Lordco for a cheaper price. I was shocked Lordco had camping supplies. The Rona guy sent us over there.
