I’ve never been someone to leave a review, but after such an incredible last night I felt obligated to do so. Whiskey Tavern hosted a private charity fundraiser Saturday August 8th for our organization benefiting families who are experiencing significant medical crises. It doesn’t take long after walking into Whiskey Tavern to understand how a business can still have that genuine small-town feel. It’s in very poor taste to garner and dry beg for positive reviews in response to an honest experience that was negative and respectfully shared. And to claim over 200 guests were there, but photos show empty backgrounds, or less than 15 in the background when in wide range view, only solidifies the statements of only 30 customers and a parking lot that was not clearing out of dozens of cars. Edit to add: I wish I had read all the one star reviews before about the rudeness of staff, racism, bugs/ termites, feedback on dirtiness- the warnings were all there. I've always found it odd when business owners explicitly say they make time for negative reviews, but avoid replying to regulars or supportive reviews. It says a lot about people who only make time for negative. Then to garner reviews in response to my truth, but come up with less than 10 positives says a lot.
