The croissants looked amazing, however we were hungrier and wanted a good sandwich. The bakery items were sparse and not very appealing. The BLT with Duke’s Mayo was a good option- crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, okay tomato and Dukes. The honey wheat had a hard time keeping it together. Stale? Our other sandwich- the Richmonder, was a huge disappointment mainly because of what they’re called aïoli spread, thickly on both side sides of the bread. Open on a Labor Day Monday a big plus. Got there too late for the breakfast sandwich I was craving, but the pain au chocolat was a delicious and flaky substitute.
Barista with the bangs who was working this morning made me such a good latte that I felt the need to leave a review
Great breakfast sandwiches, quiches, and coffee.
Best croissants ever!!! Amazingly flakey and buttery! Staff is very nice I also get their matcha with brown sugar oat syrup (I think that’s what it’s called). I’d say their matcha is definitely one of the better ones of all the cafes I’ve tried so far in the Shockoe area!
