Whimsy & Wry is GORGEOUS and my girls and I loved the intimate shopping experience. Owner Amanda is a dream. She was highly communicative leading up to my appointment, listened to all of our ideas, and patiently talked me through my anxieties about committing to a dress. I wound up buying a gorgeous Anna Kara gown that suits me and my wedding perfectly. I can't recommend booking with Amanda enough and I can't wait to wear my dress!
Amanda was an absolute dream to work with! I planned a secret elopement and everything had to come together in just a few months. She was prompt in all of her communications with me. It was a few months back now, and at that time it felt really nice to have a private appointment/safe space during the height of the pandemic. Not only is there an absolutely stunning selection of wedding gown's here but Amanda truly went above and beyond to deliver a pair of earrings I bought for my mom as a last minute Christmas gift that she saw when we were there trying on dresses in the summer. I messaged her through IG and she sent me photos of the selection she had in stock, wrapped them up so sweetly and delivered them straight to my moms door. Seriously amazing!!
What a fantastic experience! My mum was the only bride in the shop which meant she got a very personal experience. Amanda runs an ethical shop meaning all the dresses are made by designers that pay their employees a living wage and this includes designers not only from Canada but as close as Vancouver. She also carries a variety of sizes allowing my bustier mom to find a dress off the rack. I would highly, highly recommend shopping there for your wedding dress.
