Used to go here a lot but since it was given to the Port to run its went downhill in my opinion. Lost a lot of its charm.
Would be Island. Fairgrounds is a very nice little area with older buildings that have a lot of character. Couple of rabbits running around. Really nice people and some fun music and crafts.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area as well as accommodating. I would definitely go again. The showers are ADA friendly and brand new. I like the fact that the shower and the toilet are in a single room and they also have a larger bathroom area with stalls in the same building. They have a dump station and fresh water for campers and electric power for my RV. The sites are flat and there's even a front row for the arena festivities if there is something going on. The entertainment at the county fair waa phenomenal. The children and their animals were incredibly impressive.
