When we arrived the staff was eating at one of the tables, and unfortunately the restaurant now smelled like curry. Took a minute but someone did come to help. The person took our order sheets and said give him a few minutes. I asked when I’m supposed to pay, since it’s typically done at the counter. He seemed confused. Another person came up to ring us up, rang us up wrong, made some excuse, then rang it up correctly. While the food was okay, I felt bad for the ONE AND ONLY worker there trying to work the Gelato bar and the sandwich shop. While there wasnt many people there. She was the only one there. The bathroom was q complete mess. The drink machine was not even serving certain drinks. You can tell the owner/franchisee does not really care about the location.
Quick service (10-15 mins) we ordered two subs, gelato( three flavours) and fries. We ordered turkey and a bacon ham sandwich(hot). But it was a cold sandwich with only too much sauce and lettuce. Absolutely not flavourful! Tiramisu gelato tasted nothing like it, but the one with sprinkles wasnt bad. We also ordered some home style fries (not bad) and drinks. Bill was around $34 with tax. Good portion size, friendly and quick service, clean washrooms.
I could have went to the store and purchased all the ingredients and made the two sandwiches myself in the time it took from order to receiving the sandwiches. Then they ask for a tip for counter service ??
I visited this Which Wich location on Sunday 6/22/2025. Unfortunately, it was a mess from start to finish. The store wasn’t busy at all, yet I was told my order would take 20–25 minutes, which seemed excessive given how empty it was. I specifically came to try the new Avowich, only to be told it’s not available on weekends—which makes no sense, especially since they clearly had avocado (one of my other sandwiches included it).
