staff was friendly, but unfortunately, my service that I had an appointment for took three times longer than I was told. Upon getting home, the air pressure in my tires were all 15+ over my recommended tire pressure level (as well as all four tires being different levels). The rims were put on the wrong side so now my tires read incorrectly when I’m trying to fill them up with air. And they failed to put any of my air covers back on. I am sharing this experience as a safety warning to other customers. In June 2025, I brought my Toyota Corolla to Wheel Works Fremont for regular maintenance. At the recommendation of a staff member, I replaced the front brake pads and rotors. The brakes had no issues prior to this service. In August 2025, while driving on Highway 9, I experienced a strong metal-burning smell for about 20 minutes, followed by visible smoke and extreme heat from both front wheels (worse on the right side). Brake Failure Caused by Shop — BMW Damaged On May 31, 2025, my BMW M235i was brought to the San Lorenzo Wheel Works for a post purchase brake inspection. While under in their care, a technician drove it over a curb and into the center divide of the street because the brakes had not been reassembled properly after the inspection. I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received at this location. What should have been a simple 10-minute tire rotation turned into an unnecessarily frustrating 90-minute ordeal. Having visited multiple tire shops previously, I know this service typically takes no more than 30 minutes elsewhere.
