The GM doesn’t have any patience or understanding for youth which is a shame—they come with money to spend & are often more polite than adults! Steven blamed a mistake about selecting the incorrect tube size on my teen, and then got irritated when my kid didn’t remember my email immediately when put on the spot, just needed another minute to collect his thoughts. A much nicer employee fixed the issue the next day, but the GM set a bad tone & we will give our business to the nearby, locally owned bike shop & Scott instead.
I appreciate a grumpy, grizzled bike mechanic, but that’s not what I found here. My teenage son and I brought a dented rim to find out if they could fix it or if we’d be better off replacing it. The guy at the counter took it back in the shop and returned five minutes later with a rideable wheel, which should get us through the season. No charge. In the meantime, we grabbed some supplies from the well-stocked shelves. Best bike shop experience I’ve had. We’ll be back!
