I was turned away by Eric with the excuse that my situation was "too acute" and when I asked for an explanation of what that meant I was told to leave. When I called back for an explanation in writing I was told that I would not get one and that there was no supervisor on duty to speak to.

If you're going through a mental health crisis and need stabilization I highly recommended coming here. The care nurses are all nice and the nurse practitioner is good too. Its completely voluntary, they wont force you to stay if you changed your mind and want to leave. It can take some getting used to the environment and the people but overall its good. Please for your sake do not go here unless a million percent necessary. You will be stripped of all your belongings. Your clothes your phone, credit cards, money and anything else that makes you feel safe. If you have the courage to go here, ANY dignity you have left will be stripped from you. You will be asked to wear a jail uniform. You will be harassed for 3 hours by very robotic and unkind “ intake specialists “ You will be given a BREATH-ALIZER!!! Don’t bring your Stanley Cup full of water to hydrate because they will a... read more
