I’ve been a loyal customer of What A Bagel for years, going back to the original Thornhill location, but this East Gwillimbury one has been nothing but disappointing. The pastries are consistently old, stale, or freezer burned. I gave them more than enough chances, and today’s visit was the last. The pastry I grabbed was so badly freezer burned it was inedible. I’m done wasting money here. The only thing worth buying are the bagels straight from the oven. Everything else belongs in the trash.
If you want freezer burnt pasties, come here. Only things that are fresh are the bagels, but everything else is horrible. The owner is obviously stingy as you can read previous comments about the food quantity and other issues. Wouldn’t go here.
The food is good the bagels are great but I bought some bagels Wednesday morning to bring home and by the next morning they were already hard. It’s now Friday morning not even 48 hours later and they are as hard as a rock and I can’t even cut into them. I spent 40 dollars on 6 bagels, 2 sandwiches and a small thing of tuna and I can’t even enjoy the bagels or the tuna
