Bought an engagement palladium ring 13 years ago. I recently noticed a crack. They told me it was caused by wear. To put it in context, I work from a home office and I do not like to wear things in my hands. They offered a 50% discount to fix it as, I quote "it is like a car, it wears out". Little did I expect that I'd have to fix what we thought would last a lifetime, at least.

Disingenuous pricing. 38% price hike in-store despite promoting a VAT free discount! Visited store to be sized up only to be informed that the piece was £900 more than the price advertised. It’s worth bearing in mind that this was after a “special discount” for raising the concern and, had it not been for this, the price would have been £1500 more! Out of many I wrote to Wharton Goldsmith was the only jeweller to reply to my email in which I was enquiring about a strap for an expensive designer watch which is now no longer made. Monika went over and above to find this for me (without her my watch could no longer be worn) and I was thrilled when she located one. Thank you for restoring my faith in excellent customer service.
