nice people, we had a saw serviced recently and used very little stored inside. we used fuel bought from them. had trouble starting, had another stihl bought new around 800$ had trouble starting stored indoors used their fuel. we went in for help to start. it turned into we need to have them serviced. we run a business also but not much customer support.

I bought a chainsaw here about 3 months ago. I heat my house with wood. So I bought a nice MS261 from here because they sell commercial grade and they offered a very nice warranty. The saw came with a year and if you buy a gallon of their premix fuel, they give you another year off warranty. After the 4th or 5th use (about 3 weeks later) the saw stopped working. So I take it in to Wharton. They tell me the cylinder is scratched and the carburetor is clogged and won't make vacuum and they refuse to replace the saw. They absol... read more

I live in California, about 100 miles from Wharton's of Nevada. I needed a specific Stihl chainsaw that wasn't sold in California. I called Wharton's, and they took the time to physically check their inventory before I drove to Nevada to be sure they had the chainsaw I wanted in stock. They did, and I drove there to purchase it. They showed me how to operate the chainsaw, and filled it with gas. When I got back to California, I needed an accessory for the chainsaw, and they shipped it to me the next day, free of charge.
